The AMD Radeon RX 6600 is a mid-range graphics card designed to deliver exceptional 1080p gaming performance with AMD’s latest RDNA 2 architecture. Priced competitively, it aims to attract gamers seeking high-quality visuals without breaking the bank.

RDNA 2 Architecture Brilliance: At the heart of the RX 6600 lies AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture, a technological marvel that ensures optimal efficiency and enhanced gaming performance. This architecture, pioneered by AMD, brings a new level of responsiveness, realism, and efficiency to the gaming arena.

FidelityFX Super Resolution: Diving deeper into the visual realm, the RX 6600 introduces FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). AMD’s answer to enhancing gaming visuals without compromising performance. FSR breathes new life into titles, offering a cost-effective way to experience sharp, immersive graphics.

1080p Gaming Powerhouse: The RX 6600 truly shines in the 1080p gaming domain. With the ability to effortlessly tackle less demanding titles at well over 100 FPS, and even handling more graphics-intensive games comfortably above the 60 FPS mark, it cements its place as a powerhouse for mainstream gamers.

Benchmark Marvels: Let the numbers speak for themselves. In popular titles like Fortnite and Warzone, the RX 6600 showcases its mettle. Expect frame rates soaring to impressive heights—Fortnite delivering a silky-smooth 100-150 FPS on epic settings, while Warzone commands a solid 80-100 FPS at high settings, giving you an edge in competitive play.

8GB VRAM & Future-Proofing Considerations: Armed with 8GB VRAM, the RX 6600 navigates the gaming landscape effectively. While it caters admirably to 1080p gaming needs, users contemplating higher resolutions might want to weigh the VRAM limitation. Yet, in the current gaming era, it proves to be a well-balanced choice for an affordable gaming graphics card.

The new leader?

Considering the prices as at October 2023 are around £200 new, I would say this is a good contender for your 1080p gaming rig matched with a Ryzen 5600, or an Intel 12100/12400. Nvidia is great, however at this price and performance along with AMD’s ever evolving software it is a more than worthy purchase.
